Welcome to camping La Chaize in Gouttières, in the heart of the Auvergne.
We are Astrid and Levie and since February 2026 we have been the proud owners of this small-scale campsite.
After dreaming for a long time about a different life, we decided to change course. We sold our house and started looking for a new place. We first looked at Spain, but in the end France turned out to suit us much better. The nature, the climate and the relatively short distance to the Netherlands really appealed to us.
During our search we came across Camping La Chaize. We were immediately enthusiastic about the peace, space and beautiful surroundings. That’s why we took over from Miranda and Frank and started our new adventure here.
Our campsite
Camping La Chaize has deliberately remained small-scale, with only 6 to 10 places. This means there is plenty of space and peace and the atmosphere remains personal and friendly.
Whether you come with a tent, caravan or camper, you are very welcome. In high season there is also a tent for rent.
We especially want our guests to enjoy peace, space and nature. A place to completely relax, but also a great base to discover Gouttières and the beautiful Auvergne.

Walking and cycling
La Chaize is also a wonderful base for lovers of walking and cycling. From the campsite you can immediately discover the quiet roads and paths around Gouttières.
The area is beautiful and varied, with green hills, forests, small villages and beautiful views. There are plenty of opportunities for short walks, longer tours and cycling routes through the hilly landscape of the Auvergne.
Whether you want to explore the area by bike or simply take a nice walk from the campsite: the peace and nature literally start on your doorstep.
